From the foundry
A monospaced serif typeface where Latin letters are forced to unicase proportions to match Japanese ideograms. Shinka Mono explores the intersection of Latin and Asian typography, with a design inspired by Japanese bullet train information screens. The typeface features true italics with drastic angles to express speed, and exaggerated serifs creating visual texture through drops and black points in the text.
