AG Geulgyeol
The impression of a typeface is determined by the underlying structure of its letterforms and the shape of its strokes. As these two elements repeat indefinitely to compose text, they generate a distinct typographic 'texture' (gyeol). Combinatorial Hangeul typefaces, originally developed for three-set (sebeolsik) typewriters, have historically evolved with a primary focus on structural mechanics. Consequently, the 'texture of the text' produced by the assembly of these strokes has been somewhat overlooked.
