Yasushi Saikusa
Graphic and type designer born in 1956 on Iki Island, Nagasaki. Went independent in 1987, founded Media Create in 1995 and renamed it Design Signal in 1999. Released Haruhi Gakuen through Morisawa and 17 typefaces including Walk through FONT1000 before launching the Design Signal Select library in 2008. Prize winner at the 13th–15th Ishii Award typeface contests and the 5th Morisawa Awards; former director of the Japan Typography Association; member of the Tokyo TDC and FONT1000.
