William Morris

English textile designer, poet, novelist, and typographer (1834-1896) who founded the Kelmscott Press in 1891. A central figure of the Arts and Crafts movement, he designed three typefaces — Golden, Troy, and Chaucer — inspired by 15th-century Venetian printing.
