Vojtech Preissig

Czech typographer, printmaker, designer, illustrator, painter and teacher (1873-1944). Created the Preissig Antiqua typeface to improve Czech printing type, and designed WWI recruitment posters for Czech immigrants in America. He died in Dachau concentration camp for his resistance work.
