Steven Skaggs

Calligrapher, typographer, and design theorist who studied with Hermann Zapf. Author of FireSigns: A Semiotic Theory for Graphic Design (MIT Press, 2017) and recently retired after forty years heading the graphic design program at the University of Louisville.
