Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos

Dutch type designer, book cover designer, and artist (1877-1962). Employed by the Amsterdam Type Foundry (Tetterode) from 1907 to 1941, where he designed the Hollandsche Mediaeval, the first Dutch-made typeface in 150 years. Designed twelve typefaces in total, most notably the Egmont, Libra, and De Roos Roman.
