Jurriaan Schrofer
Jurriaan Schrofer (1926–1990) was a graphic designer and type designer in Amsterdam. Dated work on record includes Type specimen for Drukkerij Meijer (c. 1956) and Letters op maat (book) (1987). The Type.lol catalog lists 1 revival of their type, released in 2026. It is published by Brutal Types.
Biography
Dutch graphic designer, type designer, and educator (1926-1990), considered one of the Netherlands' most influential designers of the post-war era. A pioneer in experimental typography and photo books, he worked across all genres from advertising to interior design. He was a partner at Total Design from 1974 to 1979.
