Peter de Walpergen
Peter de Walpergen was a German-Dutch typefounder and punch cutter active in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, known for his work in Frankfurt and his contributions to the development of roman and italic typefaces. He created typefaces that influenced subsequent generations of printers and type designers, particularly through his refined interpretations of classical letterforms. His punches and matrices were widely used and distributed across European printing centers.
