Max Bittrof

German graphic designer and type designer, co-founder of the Bund Deutscher Gebrauchsgraphiker (BDG) in 1923. Known for Element Fraktur (1933–1934, Bauerische Giesserei), a rational synthesis of blackletter and roman styles. Also designed stamps and banknotes.
