Louis Oppenheim

German graphic artist, painter, and type designer (1879-1936) born in Coburg. After studying in London (1899-1906), he moved to Berlin where he became known for his poster work and typeface designs for the Berthold foundry, including Lo-Type and Fanfare. He also designed the first coin of the Weimar Republic in 1919.
