Joseph Kaspar Sattler
German Art Nouveau artist, painter, and type designer (1867-1931) who created decorative initials and ornamental typefaces during the height of the Art Nouveau movement. His intricate, nature-inspired letterforms epitomized the flowing, organic aesthetic of turn-of-the-century design. Sattler's initials and display faces remain influential examples of ornamental typography and have been digitized for contemporary use.
