Jean Jannon

Jean Jannon (1580-1658) was a French Protestant typefounder and punch cutter who worked in Sedan during the 17th century. He created a series of refined roman and italic typefaces that became highly influential in European printing, particularly admired for their elegance and legibility. His types were later acquired and distributed by the Imprimerie Royale in Paris, cementing their canonical status in French typography.
