Hermann Schardt

German type designer (1912-1984) who designed the Folkwang typeface for the Klingspor Foundry in 1949. Studied at the Essener Kunstgewerbeschule, taught there from 1935, and became director of the Folkwang Werkkunstschule in 1948.
