Frederic Goudy
American type designer, printer, and hand-engraver (1865-1947) who was one of the most prolific and influential American typeface designers of his era. Created over 120 typefaces, including influential oldstyle serif designs. Founded Village Press and Village Foundry, playing a crucial role in the Arts and Crafts movement. Known for his philosophical approach to type design and his belief in the integration of art and craftsmanship.
