François Rappo
Swiss graphic and type designer born in 1955. Studied at École cantonale des beaux-arts (ECBA) in Lausanne, specializing in typography. Co-founder and lead designer at Optimo type foundry since 1998, creating typefaces including Theinhardt, Genath, Didot Elder, Plain, and Clarendon Graphic. Recipient of the Jan Tschichold Prize in 2013. Established the type design master's program at ECAL in Lausanne.
